I've Given Up

How are you? How are you doing?
Hope you're doing well. It's birdless here but that's no story to tell.
You've no fear, you've got no fear in your bells.
And you're so young back then. I wonder.
You were so young back then. I begin to wonder.
Lost in faith, my god's given up
On holidays for someone else's love.
Scratch your eye, make sure it bleeds bright red
For holidays don't come upon once every year.
I've given up.

My bed don't sleep well much anymore.
No money, train ticket, or lawn.
I light fires each and every day.
Don't know if I hope it kills me.
And my head fills up with your old voice.
Hey, wonderer, wonder some more why don't you?
I'll never see the day the stars give up and change.
Some bliss would do just fine sitting by the phone.
Sure softly skeptical if this is war.
I'll hide in little lights and freeze in ice then.
I'd love if you showed me how to dance down here in Texas.
I'll die with you in mind and you'll dye your kids funny colors.

Help!

Stay happy. You're gold.
Midas touched you long ago.
And if you're happy, dig my hole.
Have the courtesy to fill me up when I get old.
And for what it's worth, you're a wasted crook.
You spent to long in thought of this.
If only simple songs could save me,
I'd sleep a better night then.
Help! Your brother's a-falling down!
Can't help not being in touch with sound.
I'll see the notes one day again
When I write you down with more than a pen.
Help! All I've made is burning now.
If I gotta, I outta help myself give way to sound.
Help! If no one hears me now,
I'll throw the pieces back at them.

Prosper

Can't breath an ounce of creativity. Never knew my mind help me back.
Dogs look more with wondrous eyes. Shame is it takes so long to write a song.
And since you've been such a good boy, I'll give you better worries.
A test is left and you must fill this void.
You'll wait and prosper.
It's those vacant eyes I fear when lying down.
More or less, my head has given up.
I can't write her a song, all my fingers gone numb and I left my strings hanging out to die.
If you never hear again, carve your name on your favorite album; the one you listen to on better nights.
Help, your brother's falling down tonight.
